Christopher Rochon was brought up by two creative artist a half mile from the Detroit city limits. Throughout childhood he was always surrounded by creativity and self-determination. As a lifelong artist, he’s spent years exploring different forms of self-expression with cooking, painting abstracts, and design. But his true and most persistent medium has always been hospitality! After more than a decade behind the bar and serving in restaurants, Christopher developed a deep understanding of how drinks can shape the energy of a guests night out.

After going sober in 2023, Christopher, when finding himself on the other side of the bar, quickly realized how uninspired most non-alcoholic options were. Tired of being offered “mocktails” made from random fruit juices and soda, he began experimenting at home with tea infusions, botanicals, cordials and other spirit-free flavor creations. As curiosity and desire to inovate grew, So.Bar was born, a brand rooted in craftsmanship, modern trends, and the belief that a great nights don’t need alcohol to feel complete.

Through So.Bar, Christopher is redefining what it means to enjoy a drink. His zero-proof cocktails are built with intention—layered and balanced to feel like a genuine experience rather than a compromised afterthought. The company partners with cafes, bars and restaurants to create profitable, thoughtful non-alcoholic programs, all while preparing beverages legally on-site for freshness, legality and quality.

Now, as he prepares to launch So.Bar’s flagship alcohol-free venue in Detroit, Christopher is expanding the brand’s mission beyond the glass.
